Eligibility
•Recent graduate or current student in communications, journalism, media studies, international relations, or a related field
•Excellent written and spoken English communication skills (native or near-native level)
•Demonstrated experience in writing and editing engaging content for digital and print formats
•Proficiency with social media management across multiple platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, X/Twitter, Instagram, Facebook)
•Multimedia production skills, including basic photography, videography, or audio editing
•Familiarity with design software (such as Adobe Creative Cloud, InDesign, or Canva) and website content management systems
•Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within an intercultural team
•Valid passport and eligibility to obtain Austrian entry and residence documentation (visa guidance provided by the organization)
Details
The Communications Internship at Salzburg Global Seminar offers talented emerging professionals the opportunity to gain hands-on international communications experience at Schloss Leopoldskron in Salzburg, Austria.
Interns work closely with the communications team to cover international programs and events, interview global fellows and speakers, draft press releases and articles, develop creative social media campaigns, and manage multimedia archives. Internships typically run for a period of three months.
