The Supporting AFR100 Programme is a specialized grant mechanism managed by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) to accelerate Forest Landscape Restoration (FLR) across the African continent. The program targets local communities and entrepreneurs who are at the forefront of restoration efforts. It aims to bridge the funding gap for small-scale restoration projects that contribute to the broader AFR100 goals. Eligibility Criteria
•Must be a legally registered entity such as a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), Community-Based Organization (CBO), or Small and Medium Enterprise (SME)
•Must be operating within an AFR100 member country in Africa
•Must have a proven track record in forest landscape restoration (FLR) or sustainable land management
•Projects must align with the AFR100 initiative's goal of restoring 100 million hectares of land by 2030
•Must demonstrate the ability to achieve social, environmental, and economic impacts
•Must possess the administrative capacity to manage and report on grant funding
