Details
The World Bank Group Fellowship Program offers young scholars and emerging development professionals from Sub-Saharan Africa the opportunity to gain practical experience at the World Bank Group headquarters in Washington, D.C., or in regional country offices. Selected fellows undertake a minimum six-month assignment where they work on development projects, research, and policy analysis alongside senior World Bank staff and international experts.
Eligibility Criteria
•Must be a national of a Sub-Saharan African country
•Must be currently enrolled in a PhD program or a recent PhD graduate (within 3 years of graduation)
•Excellent academic standing and strong quantitative/analytical skills
•Fluency in English (knowledge of French, Spanish, Portuguese, or Arabic is an asset)
•Age 32 or younger at the time of application
•Strong interest in international development, economics, public policy, or related fields
