Eligibility
•Open to secondary school students and high school graduates applying for first-year undergraduate study
•Open to both U.S. and international applicants
•Completion of the Common Application or Coalition Application powered by Scoir
•Submission of Harvard College Questions and writing supplement
•Official high school transcript and School Report
•Counselor recommendation and two teacher evaluations from academic subject areas
•Midyear School Report (due after first-term senior year grades are available)
•Standardized test scores (SAT or ACT) submitted in accordance with current testing requirements
Details
Harvard College welcomes applications from students around the world for full-time undergraduate study. Harvard practices need-blind admissions for all applicants, including international students, meaning financial need will not disadvantage an applicant in the admissions process. Harvard guarantees to meet 100% of each admitted student's demonstrated financial need for all four years without requiring loans. Applicants can choose between Restrictive Early Action (deadline November
1.and Regular Decision (deadline January 1).
Financial Benefits
•100% of demonstrated financial need met for all admitted students, domestic and international
•Zero parent contribution required for families with annual incomes below $85,000, covering full tuition, room, board, and fees
•$2,000 start-up grant and additional allowances provided to students from families with income under $85,000
•Families making between $85,000 and $150,000 pay an expected contribution between 0% and 10% of annual income
•Aid packages are entirely loan-free, consisting of grants/scholarships and optional student employment opportunities
