Eligibility
•Candidates must hold a recognized Bachelor's degree (minimum 180 ECTS) or equivalent qualification in a discipline relevant to humanitarian action (e.g., social sciences, international relations, law, political science, humanities, or medicine)
•Demonstrable commitment and active interest in the humanitarian sector, supported by relevant volunteer, internship, or professional work experience
•Demonstrated English language proficiency (e.g., IELTS score of at least 6.5, TOEFL iBT of at least 90, C1 Cambridge certification, or equivalent qualification)
•Comprehensive curriculum vitae (CV) detailing academic background and professional/voluntary experience
•Well-articulated letter of motivation detailing reasons for applying and career objectives in humanitarian action
•Two letters of recommendation from academic referees or employers
Details
The NOHA Joint Master's Programme in International Humanitarian Action is a multidisciplinary postgraduate degree designed to deliver comprehensive education, research skills, and practical training in humanitarian action. Coordinated by the NOHA network and funded as an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree by the European Commission, the programme spans four semesters (120 ECTS) across leading European universities including Deusto, Groningen, Ruhr Bochum, Aix-Marseille, Warsaw, Uppsala, and Dublin.
The curriculum integrates international law, geopolitics, anthropology, public health, disaster management, and logistics, followed by specialized tracks, international field exchanges, or internships with humanitarian organizations worldwide.
