Details
The Human Rights Scholarship is awarded to domestic and international students undertaking research in the field of human rights at the University of Melbourne. Applications are managed via the SmartyGrants portal. The scholarship supports researchers who are committed to the peaceful advancement of human rights.
Eligibility Criteria
•Must have applied for and meet the entry requirements for a graduate research degree at the University of Melbourne
•Must intend to undertake research in the field of human rights
•Must demonstrate commitment to the peaceful advancement of respect for human rights extending beyond academic studies (e.g., voluntary work, work experience)
•Must not have already completed a research qualification at the same or higher level as the proposed course
Financial Benefits
•Full tuition fee offset for up to two years (Masters by Research) or up to four years (PhD)
•Living allowance stipend of approximately $37,000 per year pro rata
•Relocation grant of $2,000 for students moving from other Australian states/territories, or $3,000 for those moving from outside Australia
•Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) Single Membership for international students requiring a student visa
