The Canadian International Development Scholarships 2030 (BCDI 2030) is an eight-year program (2022-2030) funded by Global Affairs Canada. It provides quality education and training opportunities in Canada for students from 26 eligible countries. The program aims to train women and men to become leaders and agents of change in their home countries, focusing on key development areas such as STEM, artificial intelligence, green economy, and health. Applications are managed through institutional partnerships rather than direct student applications.
Eligibility Criteria
•Must be a citizen of one of the 26 eligible participating countries (Francophonie, Commonwealth, and Small Island Developing States)
•Must be nominated by a partner institution in the home country
•Must meet the academic and language admission requirements of the Canadian partner institution
•Must commit to returning to the home country after completing the study program to contribute to local development
•Priority is given to women to ensure equitable access and representation
