The A*STAR Graduate Scholarship (AGS) supports PhD studies in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) disciplines at top local universities. Scholars will be attached to one of A*STAR's research institutes where they will undertake their research project.
Eligibility Criteria
- Open to Singaporeans and other nationals.
- Graduates with a Bachelor's degree with at least a 2nd Upper Class Honours or equivalent.
- Have a strong interest in a research career in science and technology.
- Applicants must have successfully matriculated into a PhD programme at a partner university (e.g., NUS, NTU, SUTD, SMU).
Financial Benefits
The scholarship provides comprehensive financial support for up to 4 years of PhD studies, including:
- Full tuition fees
- Monthly stipend of S$3,700, which is increased after passing the Qualifying Examination
- One-time airfare grant of up to S$1,500
- One-time settling-in allowance of S$1,000
- Medical insurance
- Conference and travel allowance
