Details
The McDonald Fellowship enables early-career multiple sclerosis researchers from low- and middle-income countries to work in a research institution outside their home country. The fellowship aims to foster international collaboration, enhance MS research capacity globally, and enable fellows to bring advanced skills back to their home countries.
Eligibility Criteria
•Be educated to postgraduate level (at least MSc, preferably PhD/MD) in a subject relevant to multiple sclerosis
•Be a citizen of or residing in a low
-or middle-income country as defined by the World Bank
•Conduct research focused specifically on multiple sclerosis
•Work in or study at an institution in a low
-or middle-income country at the time of application
•Agree to return to home country/institution upon completion of the fellowship to apply acquired knowledge
Financial Benefits
•£30,000 GBP per year to cover living and travel costs for the fellow
•£2,000 GBP per year awarded to the host institution
•Funding provided for a duration of up to 2 years
