Mitacs is a national Canadian non-profit organization that empowers research and innovation. Mitacs builds partnerships between academia, industry, and government to support co-funded research internships, fellowships, and training opportunities across diverse disciplines.
Eligibility Criteria
•Registered undergraduate, graduate (Master's or PhD) students, or postdoctoral fellows at eligible Canadian or international academic institutions
•Must meet specific criteria for the chosen Mitacs program stream (e.g., Mitacs Accelerate, Elevate, Globalink)
•For industry-partnered programs, applications must be submitted jointly with an eligible academic supervisor and partner organization
•Open to domestic and international students studying at eligible participating universities
Financial Benefits
•Financial stipends/awards typically ranging from $10,000 to $15,000 or higher per project term
