Knight-Hennessy Scholars is a multidisciplinary, multicultural, and fully endowed graduate fellowship program at Stanford University. It annually awards full funding to 100 high-achieving students from around the world. Applications for the 2027-2028 academic year are expected to open in July 2026.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must apply to any full-time Stanford graduate degree program (e.g., JD, MA, MBA, MD, MFA, MS, PhD).
Must have earned a Bachelor's degree in 2019 or later.
Open to citizens from all countries (including African countries).
Demonstrate independence of thought, purposeful leadership, and a civic mindset.
Financial Benefits
Covers tuition and associated fees, a stipend for living and academic expenses (room and board, books, academic supplies, local transportation, and reasonable personal expenses), a travel stipend, and a one-time relocation stipend.
