Details
The Presidential Scholarship is Eastern Michigan University's most prestigious undergraduate merit award. It covers four years (eight consecutive semesters) of full tuition, campus housing, and a standard meal plan. Recipients join the EMU Honors College and are expected to maintain strong academic standing and engage actively in the university community.
Eligibility Criteria
•Must be an incoming first-year undergraduate student applying for admission to Eastern Michigan University
•Minimum cumulative high school GPA of 3.85 on a 4.0 scale
•Minimum composite SAT score of 1200 or ACT composite score of 25 (if submitting test scores)
•Must submit an application for admission to EMU and complete the Presidential Scholarship application
•Must enroll full-time in a degree-seeking undergraduate program
•Selected finalists must participate in an interview process/competition
Financial Benefits
•Full tuition and mandatory fees for up to 30 credit hours per academic year for four consecutive years (8 semesters)
•Room and board covering standard double room housing and university meal plan
•Total scholarship value exceeding $100,000 over four years
•Membership and participation in the EMU Honors College
