Eligibility
•Completion of a first higher education degree (Bachelor's degree or recognized equivalent of at least 180 ECTS) in a relevant discipline such as social sciences, humanities, cultural studies, law, or education
•Demonstrated English language proficiency at C1 level (minimum IELTS 7.0, TOEFL iBT 95, or Cambridge C1 Advanced)
•Proven academic or professional interest and experience in migration, intercultural relations, and diversity studies
•Submission of a comprehensive application package including curriculum vitae (CV), letter of motivation, academic transcripts, degree certificate, and two letters of recommendation
•Compliance with Erasmus Mundus nationality and 12-month residency rules (where applicable)
Details
The European Master in Migration and Intercultural Relations (EMMIR) is a premier two-year Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree (EMJMD) jointly run by a consortium of European and African universities, coordinated by the University of Oldenburg (Germany).
The program focuses on migration, conflict, intercultural relations, and social cohesion through an interdisciplinary curriculum combining theoretical coursework, research internships, and mobility across partner institutions in Europe and beyond.
Graduates receive a joint Master of Arts (MA) degree awarded by the participating partner universities.
