Hubei Provincial Foreign Student Scholarship

Details

The Hubei Provincial Foreign Student Scholarship was established by the Hubei Provincial Government to attract and encourage outstanding international students to study in Hubei's higher education institutions. The scholarship is available for students pursuing undergraduate, master's, and doctoral degrees, as well as general and senior scholars. Applications must be submitted directly to the universities in Hubei Province where the student is studying or plans to study. The scholarship is awarded on an annual basis, and students are eligible to re-apply each year. Required application documents include the application form, notarized diplomas and transcripts, a study plan (minimum 400 words), and recommendation letters for graduate and senior scholar applicants.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens with a valid foreign passport.
Applicants should be healthy and abide by Chinese laws and the regulations of the universities.
Undergraduate program applicants must have a high school diploma and be under the age of 25.
Master's degree applicants must have a bachelor's degree and be under the age of 30.
Doctoral degree applicants must have a master's degree and be under the age of 35.
General scholar program applicants must have a high school diploma and be under the age of 40.
Senior scholar program applicants must have a master's degree or be an associate professor and be under the age of 50.
Applicants must meet the language requirements of the higher education institutions (HSK or English proficiency).
Applicants should not be recipients of any other scholarships from the Chinese government.

Financial Benefits

Undergraduate Scholarship: 10,000 RMB per year
Master's Degree Scholarship: 15,000 RMB per year
Doctoral Degree Scholarship: 20,000 RMB per year
General Scholar Scholarship: 5,000 RMB per semester or 10,000 RMB per year
Senior Scholar Scholarship: 10,000 RMB per semester or 20,000 RMB per year
