Details
The Equity and Merit Scholarships at The University of Manchester are designed for academically excellent students from selected countries in Sub-Saharan Africa. The scheme supports postgraduate master's study in subjects that address local development needs and are not widely available in the applicants' home countries. Scholarships are offered for both full-time study in Manchester and part-time distance learning courses.
Eligibility Criteria
•Must be a resident and national of one of the eligible countries: Ethiopia, Malawi, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda, or Zimbabwe
•Must hold a bachelor's degree with a first-class or upper second-class honours (or international equivalent)
•Must have at least two years of relevant work experience related to your chosen degree
•Must not have previously studied in a high-income country or outside of Africa
•Must be committed to returning to your home country after completing the program to contribute to sustainable development
•Must meet the English language entry requirements for the selected master's degree course
