The South African Institute of International Affairs (SAIIA), in partnership with the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS), invites applications for the KAS-SAIIA Master's Scholarships for the 2027 academic year. The scholarship program is designed to support outstanding African students pursuing Master's studies in South Africa while offering them practical research experience and professional development at SAIIA. Recipients will work alongside SAIIA researchers and contribute to policy publications, events, and international relations studies.
Eligibility Criteria
•Must be enrolled or accepted into a Master's degree program at a recognized South African university
•Academic background in International Relations, Political Science, Economics, Journalism, Law, or related social science fields
•High academic achievement (minimum 70% or upper second-class honours average)
•Citizens of South Africa or other Sub-Saharan African countries
•Under 30 years of age at the time of application
•Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
•Demonstrated commitment to public policy and international affairs
