Details
The Chinese Government Scholarship program sponsors international students, teachers, and scholars to study and conduct research in Chinese universities. The scholarship covers various academic programs at Bachelor's, Master's, and PhD levels across a wide range of disciplines. Applicants can apply through Chinese Embassies/Consulates in their home countries or directly to Chinese universities. The application period for the 2027/2028 intake is expected to run from November 2026 to March 2027.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens and in good health. Educational background and age limits: Bachelor's applicants must have a high school diploma and be under 25. Master's applicants must have a Bachelor's degree and be under 35. PhD applicants must have a Master's degree and be under 40. Excellent academic performance. Specific requirements may vary by program and university. African students are eligible.
Financial Benefits
Fully funded. Includes tuition fee waiver, free on-campus accommodation, monthly living stipend (e.g., CNY 2,500 for Bachelor's, CNY 3,000 for Master's, CNY 3,500 for PhD), and comprehensive medical insurance.
