The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at the University of British Columbia (UBC) offers comprehensive, fully funded scholarships for academically talented young leaders from Sub-Saharan Africa. The program is designed to support individuals who face financial and socio-economic barriers, enabling them to pursue Master's degree studies at UBC and return to contribute to the sustainable development of their home communities and countries.
Eligibility Criteria
•Must be a citizen and resident of a Sub-Saharan African country
•Must have completed a Bachelor's degree with high academic standing
•Must demonstrate financial need and socio-economic barriers to pursuing higher education
•Must exhibit strong leadership potential and a clear commitment to community service and giving back
•Must be applying for an eligible full-time Master's degree program at the University of British Columbia
•Must require a study permit to study in Canada
