•Must have a minimum of 5 years of relevant mid-to-senior level professional public health leadership or practice experience

•Must demonstrate a proven track record of leadership potential and a clear commitment to returning to Africa to contribute to the continent's health sector

•Must meet the general graduate admission and English language proficiency requirements of the host institution

•Must demonstrate strong motivation to address critical public health challenges across Africa

The Mastercard Foundation Africa Higher Education Health Collaborative, in partnership with the Dalla Lana School of Public Health at the University of Toronto, invites applications for fully funded Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) scholarships for the 2027-2028 academic year. The program aims to train transformational public health leaders from Africa who possess advanced competencies in leadership, policy, and practice to strengthen public health systems and drive transformative health sector changes across the continent. Selected candidates will participate in rigorous doctoral coursework, applied public health practicums, and comprehensive research projects.
