Details

The World Health Organization (WHO) Internship Programme offers practical learning opportunities for students and recent graduates passionate about global public health. Interns gain hands-on experience by working alongside WHO technical experts on various public health projects, policies, and operational activities worldwide.

Eligibility Criteria

Be at least 20 years of age on the date of application.
Be enrolled in a course of study at a university or equivalent institution leading to a formal qualification (undergraduate, graduate, or postgraduate), or have graduated within the past 6 months.
Have completed at least three years of full-time studies at a university or equivalent institution prior to commencing the internship.
Be fluent in at least one working language of the office of assignment.
Hold a valid passport from a WHO Member State.
Have not previously participated in the WHO Internship Programme.
Not be closely related to a WHO staff member (e.g., parent, child, or sibling).

Financial Benefits

Monthly living allowance (stipend) provided by WHO for eligible interns who do not receive financial support from external institutions or sponsors.
Medical and accident insurance coverage provided by WHO for the duration of the internship assignment.
Annual leave entitlement based on the length of the internship.
