Details

The World Health Organization (WHO) Internship Programme offers students and recent graduates the opportunity to gain practical experience in global public health and international affairs. Interns work alongside experts at WHO Headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland, or at regional and country offices around the world, contributing to various technical programs, health initiatives, and administrative operations.

Eligibility Criteria

Be at least 20 years of age on the date of application.
Be enrolled in a course of study at a university or equivalent institution leading to a formal qualification (undergraduate, master's, or PhD), or have completed a qualification within the past six months.
Have completed at least three years of full-time studies at a university or equivalent institution prior to starting the internship.
Be fluent in at least one of the working languages of the WHO office of assignment.
Not be related to a WHO staff member (e.g., son/daughter, brother/sister, or mother/father).
Hold a valid passport of a WHO Member State.
Have not previously participated in WHO's Internship Programme.

Financial Benefits

Monthly living stipend provided to assist with living expenses during the internship.
Medical and accident insurance coverage provided by WHO for the full duration of the internship.
Local transport support or lunch vouchers depending on the rules of the specific WHO duty station.
